I originally bought this to use with my Australian saddle but use it with other saddles also. THe pockets are handy for tie ropes snacks or bottle of water. I use a cushioned underpad that encourages sweat to rll off so the pad never has gotten sweaty but it seem like it would wash easily. It is well constructed and handy for me when I am on a long trek checking cows or exercising dogs. I keep my cell phone on my person in case of separation from the horse but the pad carries other light geear.
